Laykin et Cie Jewelry salon in the I.MAGNIN's department store in Beverly Hills

Laykin et Cie started out in Downtown Los Angeles in 1932 then in 1936 opened a retail boutique on Sunset Blvd. and expanded from there-  eventually opening boutiques in most of the I.MAGNIN department stores in California.  Including San Francisco, Beverly Hills and La Jolla. 
Sol Laykin liked big, flashy, quality and interesting gemstones-  developing a style and look that would come to epitomize Beverly Hills "cocktail jewelry".  Sophisticated, sometimes flamboyant, statement jewelry that you could actually wear and know for certain you had an exclusive look.
